Welcome to Joe Topping Photography. I’m a relaxed documentary wedding photographer based in Newtown, Powys, Wales. I specialise in capturing raw, unscripted moments for couples who want wedding photography with minimal posing.

  • 2-Week Gallery Delivery: No waiting months to relive your day. Your full, edited gallery is delivered within 14 days. Most wedding photographers deliver in 3 to 4 weeks.

  • All-Inclusive Pricing: My rates range from £500 to £1250, with all high-resolution images included as standard and delivered to you via USB and/or digital download.

  • Total Freedom: No watermarks, no restrictive licenses. You have complete freedom to print, share, and enjoy your photos.

  • Pre-Wedding Shoot: We can get to know each other behind the lens before the big day, so you feel 100% relaxed. This pre-shoot comes included in my full-day wedding photography package.

  • Expert Guidance: I offer obligation-free consultations. If you need advice on your timeline (as it pertains to photography), ask! I’m here to help.

Relaxed, Natural & Unobtrusive Wedding Photography

If you’re looking for a documentary wedding photographer in Powys who won’t boss you around or turn your wedding into a film set, I'm your guy. My style is 80% reportage and 20% "fine-art". I prefer to blend into the background, capturing organic moments and genuine emotions as they happen. You and your guests wont be waiting hours during family group photos!

You won't find any forced smiles or awkward posing here (at least I hope! haha) Just honest storytelling that lets you stay fully present with your guests while I document the magic as it unfolds. I want you to be comfortable and simply enjoy your day.
