I’m a professional photographer based in Newtown. I’ve been photographing weddings for just over a decade now. I took a few years off when Covid struck but now I’m back at it again!

Background
My journey with photography first started back in high school, when I unexpectedly won first place in a regional photo competition. I was awarded with a camera!
That early spark led me to study photography at college, and then again at university, which led to me photographing my first wedding.
Approach
I like to focus on capturing real, candid moments as they happen. I try to blend in to the background and let the day unfold naturally.
I generally keep “posed photos” to a minimum, I have found that by letting my couples and their guests do their own thing, the photos that result from this are far more genuine.
Post-production
When it comes to editing, I like to keep my photos punchy and modern but not over-stylised.
Over the years, I’ve experimented with different styles; from the moody orange-teal look to light and airy film emulation. My conclusion? It’s easier to add a “look” than it is to remove it. That’s why I keep my edits natural.
Hobbies and interests: Fellwalking, watching Star Trek, playing guitar, painting miniatures, beer brewing.
